046- Exploring Scripture 2 - Asking the Right Questions

One of the most important lessons we have learned when it comes to engaging Scripture is we have to ask the right questions. When we try to make the Bible something that it isn’t or place expectations on it that it cannot bear, we end up hurting ourselves or others. In this episode, we share how we have learned to ask the right questions and explore Jesus' teaching that Scripture is always intended to help us love God and love others.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 - "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work." (ESV)

Matthew 22:37-40 - "Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.'" (NIV)
